Wolf Creek North Loop

  • Description: This flat and wide trail is best accessed from the Wolf Creek North Trailhead off County Road 429, two miles north of Poplar Bluff. Take the Wolf Creek Trail west bound and follow it south to its junction with Oak Ridge Trail. Take the Oak Ridge Trail southeast bound to until it joins Wolf Creek Trail again. Follow Wolf Creek Trail northbound until it crosses County Road 429 and end at the North Trailhead.

Wolf Creek Southwest Loop

  • Distance: 3.9 miles 

  • Time: 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes

  • Skill level: beginner

  • Map: AllTrails map

  • Description: The trail follows flowing singletrack and has some rocks on the trail, but is generally flat and well-maintained. From the Wolf Creek Middle Trailhead take the spur trail until the first intersection. Turn right and head toward the raised gravel turnpike at the intersection of Still Hollow and Cane Creek Trail. Take Still Hollow southbound until it joins Wolf Creek Trail. Turn right and follow the trail westbound until it joins Cane Creek Trail. Take Cane Creek Trail eastbound and cross County Road 429 and stay left to head back to the trailhead. Turn left at the next unmarked intersection to return to the parking area.

Victory Horse Trail

  • Distance: 7.2 miles

  • Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes to 3 hours

  • Skill level: intermediate

  • Map: Ozark Trail Association section map 

  • Description: Start at either the Victory Schoolhouse Trailhead or the Wrangler Trailhead. The northern portion of the loop follows a segment of the Ozark Trail, Victory Section. Look for wooden signs at the junction to complete the loop. A short spur from the Victory Schoolhouse Trailhead forks heading northbound where the loop begins. Expect rocks, soil erosion and some short, punchy climbs. This trail is not for beginner trail runners!
